Thanks to the efforts of a great many people, Kaichi International University hosted its 10th Annual English Speech Contest on November 3rd, 2024 in Komorebi Hall. The theme for this year’s contest was “Building Resilient Communities.” Four contestants spoke on the theme for 5 to 7 minutes in front of peers, judges, and audience members. Despite the difficulty of this year’s theme, every contestant rose to the challenge to speak as sincerely and competently as they could, encouraging all present to think carefully and conscientiously about what the term “resilient community” really means. As public speaking is no small matter for students, our heartfelt congratulations are extended to all the contestants who participated in this year’s contest including, One One Moe (Myanmar) who finished first, Ei Phyu Khin (Myanmar) who finished second, Ha Chau Giang Tran (Vietnam) who finished third, and Taiyo Kurihara (Japan) who although finished fourth, made an outstanding effort.
