　　Thanks to the efforts of a great many people, Kaichi International University hosted its 8^th Annual English Speech Contest on October 30^th , 2022 in Komorebi Hall. The theme for this year’s contest was “What Human Quality Do We Need More of and Why?” 6 contestants, each speaking on a quality or qualities they felt the world needed more of, spoke for 5 to 7 minutes in front of peers, judges, and audience members. Despite the pressure, every contestant rose to the challenge to speak as sincerely and competently as they could on the theme, inspiring all in attendance. As public speaking is no small matter for students, our heartfelt congratulations are extended to all the contestants who participated in this year’s contest. Most notably, Reo Kato, Rupika Damayanthi Vitharana, and Shion Nakano, who finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.
